Inside this edition of the Canadian Prairies Agricultural Weather Prognosticator there is a special report on the early May heat wave coming to the Prairies. An updated forecast for May and June is included in this newsletter along with soil moisture updates for various places around the world. A special report on drought impacting the Peace River Region is also included in this newsletter along with special reports on the U.S. May weather outlook and another on China's developing drought. The last article in this issue is an update on crop damage resulting from frost and freezes impacting Ukraine and southern Russia.

A soil moisture assessment for various production areas around the world is included in this issue along with comments about U.S. Drought Expansion in the Plains. A long term perspective update on the 2020s drought era and a discussion over whether the drought years are over or not is also included in this issue along with updates on South America crpops and an early look at Australia's planting prospects.

An update on the April forecast was provided with a glimpse at March and June as well. A special commentary was included in this newsletter regarding the lack of potential change for the U.S. Plains in March and the potential for eastern North America to see late season frost and freezes during the spring. An update on Argentina's flood potential is included in this issue along with another update on Brazil and the dryness that may be threatening some crops.
