Inside this edition of the Canadian Prairies Agricultural Weather Prognosticator is an update on precipitation during March and the snow cover that was present on April 3. Updated outlooks for April and May are included in this publication along with detailed commentary about weather in the Peace River Region and the northeast part of the Prairies. An update on soil moisture for various places around the world are also included along with the April weather outlook for the United States.
Inside this issue of the Canadian Prairies Agricultural Weather Prognosticator is an update on the spring and summer weather outlook and an update on January/February precipitation across the Prairies. Updates on soil moisture for selected production areas around the world are included in this issue along with a note about U.S. Midwest and Delta drought relief. Commentary regarding Brazil's soil moisture and outlook for Safrinha corn is included in this newsletter along with an update about the lack of weather change slated for Canada in March. Argentina's weather improved recently limiting the impact of its yield losses on the marketplace and an update on wheat production areas in North Africa, Europe and Asia is also included in this month's assessment.
In this latest edition of the Canadian Prairies Agricultural Weather Prognosticator there are details about the recent warm and dry biased conditions in the Prairies (especially in the west). An update on February and March weather outlooks are included in this issue with dryness likely to continue a dominating feature for a while. Some improvement in pecipitation is possible during the latter part of March in the west, but parts of the Prairies may have to wait until spring for a decent precipitation boost. Also in this issue are updates on Brazil and Argentina weather and more detail about January weather in the Prairies. An article was written regarding futures prices and their potential for some appreciation during the spring and summer this year due to El Nino development. An early look at spring and summer weather is also included on pate 10.
