Over Zealous ENSO Model Predicts La Nina Again

Kansas City, January 3 (World Weather Inc.) – El Nino evolved in the spring of 2023 and steadily intensified until peaking in late November and early December. The event will go down in the history books as a moderately strong ENSO (El Nino Southern Oscillation) event, but relative to others in its class the impact on world agriculture was lighter than expected. Now, forecast models are predicting a rapid demise of the event with neutral ENSO conditions expected by April. But, that is not all…some models go on to predict La Nina later in the year.
