China Winter Wheat, Rapeseed Prospects Favorable

Kansas City, January 26 (World Weather Inc.) – Areas near and south of the Yangtze River reported varying amounts of precipitation during the past week. With more rain and light snow expected in the coming weeks, soil moisture will remain at adequate to excessive levels in the main winter rapeseed areas. The North China Plain’s winter wheat areas were dry or received limited precipitation during the past week, though a disturbance will bring rain and snow to the region next week that will be beneficial for the moisture profile and long-term wheat prospects. Overall, China’s weather is still looking quite favorable for a great start to spring growth.
