West Texas To Dry Down After Welcome Rain, Snow Event

Kansas City, February 12 (World Weather Inc.) – West Texas cotton, corn, sorghum and wheat production areas (including the Panhandle of Texas and southwestern Oklahoma) will experience ten days of drier biased weather now that the weekend snow and rain event has ended. The recent precipitation was welcome and should help support wheat development this spring and could help support spring planting of summer coarse grain and cotton, although the region will need more moisture in future to ensure the planting season goes as well as possible. Other areas in the southern Plains are also favorably moist.
