Australia Weather Has Not Offered Production Potential Change

Kansas City, November 7 (World Weather Inc.) – Weather conditions across Australia’s winter wheat, barley and canola production areas during the past week have not offered much potential for production changes relative to that of late October. Rainfall has been limited and there have been some bouts of excessive heat. That has accelerated crop maturation at the expense on grain quality in some areas, though the yield has not likely change much recently. In the meantime, livestock stress and unirrigated summer planting and development conditions have been poor in Queensland and neighboring areas.

Excessive Georgia, South Carolina Rain Impact Cotton, Peanuts

Kansas City, November 7 (World Weather Inc.) – An excessive rain event occurred Wednesday into this morning from the northern part of Florida through south-central and east-central Georgia to central South Carolina. Rain totals were enough to induce flooding and threaten some of the region’s unharvested cotton, soybean and peanut crops. Drier weather is already returning to the region this afternoon and it will continue to dry out over the next couple of days. Flooding will remain into the weekend for some areas.
