Weekly Citrus Weather For Tuesday, November 12, 2024

Kansas City, November 12 (World Weather Inc.) – Florida’s citrus areas received some rain during the past week that may have impacted harvesting, clean-up from Hurricane Milton, and general farming activity. Producers still had periods of drier weather that allowed for some farming activity. Drier weather is slated for most locations during the coming week, which should improve ongoing efforts for ongoing clean-up. Brazil’s citrus areas received significant rain during the past week with more on the way during the coming week. Citrus conditions will further improve or remain favorable. In Mexico, harvesting and general farming activity should advance swiftly around spotty rain during the coming week.

Is Center West, Center South Brazil Facing Too Much Rain?

Kansas City, November 11 (World Weather Inc.) – More aggressive rain fell across portions of center west and northern parts of center south Brazil during the past week. The moisture was ideal in raising soil moisture that was still a little light a week ago, but the topsoil is now saturated in many areas. Another rainy week or two is coming up and it may not be much longer before some producers become concerned about too much rain rather than not enough. At the same time, though, other areas in Brazil are likely to see a continuation of well mixed periods of rain and sunshine. Some net drying is likely in southern crop areas during the coming week to ten days raising the need for greater rain later this month.
