Dry Pockets To Remain in Argentina Crop Country

Kansas City, November 12 (World Weather Inc.) – Timely rain has fallen in Argentina crop areas in recent weeks supporting relatively good summer planting and crop establishment conditions. Winter wheat and barley in the south have experienced a good reproductive and filling environment as well. Recent rain has not been evenly distributed and there are pockets that are drier than other areas. This tendency will prevail over the next two weeks as rain frequency decreases and its distribution becomes more erratic. Rainfall in this coming week will be greatest in the northern half of the nation while many areas in the south experience net drying. An improved rainfall distribution will be required late this month and on into December to ensure the best possible crop development.
