Philippines, Indonesia Flood Events May Be Less Frequent

Kansas City, December 27 (World Weather Inc.) – Another break from flooding rain seems to have begun in the past couple of days, but earlier in this past week portions of the Philippines and Indonesia experienced torrential rain and some notable flooding. Some of the greatest rain fell over southeastern Luzon Island, central Palawan and the Visayan Islands in Philippines as well as in southwestern Sulawesi in Indonesia. Damage to crops and infrastructure was likely, though the extent of the losses was not yet known. Indonesia, Malaysia, and Philippines will have several opportunities for rain through the end of next week. The greatest amount of rain is slated for northeastern Luzon Island in the Philippines and portions of Java and the Lesser Sunda Islands in Indonesia. Localized flooding will remain a concern and could promote minor damage.
