U.S. Soybean, Corn Harvest Resumes After Brief Weather Delay

Kansas City, October 24 (World Weather Inc.) – Ran fell earlier this week in the central and eastern U.S. Midwest, Delta and Tennessee River Basin inducing some short term field working delay. Both the harvest of summer crops and the planting of wheat were disrupted; though, the moisture was needed for winter wheat emergence and establishment in some areas. Rain this weekend and early next week is expected to move from the southern Great Plains through the Delta and a few southernmost Midwest locations to the southeastern states. Fieldwork will be disrupted in these areas once again, although a few days of drying occurred between rain events to allow some fieldwork to take place. In the meantime, the high Plains, Great Lakes region, southwestern desert region and a part of the Pacific Northwest will be dry favoring fieldwork through much of next week.
