Eastern Australia Excessive Heat To Be Slow In Abating

Kansas City, November 25 (World Weather Inc.) – Another excessively hot day occurred in interior east-central and north-central parts of Australia Monday. The heat developed during the weekend and was reaching a peak Monday when extreme highs reached 115 degrees Fahrenheit. Today may be somewhat similar and temperatures the remainder of this week will gradually cool back to a more seasonably warm range, but it will take a few days. In the meantime, livestock stress will remain high and poor grazing conditions will prevail in some areas.

SE Asia Wet Year Continues: Southern Thailand Floods

Kansas City, November 24 (World Weather Inc.) – Southeast Asia weather has been quite wet at times this year. Flooding has been reported in the Philippines multiple times and some of it was quite extreme. Rain in Vietnam has also been well above normal this year causing extensive property damage along the central coast. Some areas in both Laos and mainland Thailand have also experienced some excessive rain, although not nearly as frequent as that in Vietnam and the Philippines. The latest excessive rain event occurred in southern Thailand where incredible rain totals were noted over the three-day period ending dawn today (Monday). Extensive flooding resulted and damage to both personal property and some crops resulted. Portions of Malaysia and Indonesia also reported some heavy rain during the weekend. Flooding rainfall is expected slowly shift southward over the next few weeks.

North-Central U.S. Storms To Slow Travel, Stress Livestock

Kansas City, November 24 (World Weather Inc.) – Bitter cold air slowly sagging southward from the Arctic will help stimulate three waves of snow and a notable cooling trend across the northern Plains, Canada’s Prairies and the upper U.S. Midwest tonight through the coming weekend. The storms will slow travel for the Thanksgiving Holiday and will also stress livestock as they deal winter at its worst this weekend.
