Weekly Citrus Weather For Tuesday, November 25, 2025

Kansas City, November 25 (World Weather Inc.) – Florida’s citrus areas were mostly dry and a little warmer than usual during the past week. The region will have a few opportunities for spotty rain during the coming week, though irrigation will remain the primary source for moisture. Brazil’s citrus areas saw a mix of spotty rain and sunshine during the past week. Most locations have enough moisture to support good development in the short-term, though Sao Paulo and southwestern Minas Gerais need more significant rain for ideal long-term production potentials. Most locations will trend a little drier than usual through early next week. Mexico’s citrus areas will have opportunities for rain during the coming week as well. Veracruz and Tamaulipas will trend wetter than usual with concerns for delayed harvesting and fruit swelling.

Flooding Expected in Sri Lanka Rest of Week

Kansas City, November 24 (World Weather Inc.) – Not to be left out of all the flooding that has been impacting Southeast Asia recently, Sri Lanka will also be impacted by such conditions. A tropical disturbance that is organizing into a tropical cyclone near the island nation today is expected to influence the region for the balance of this week. Waves of rain are expected along with gusty surface wind resulting in some flooding. Crop and property damage is predicted, although the impact should be low. The storm will ultimately end up in southern India where some other heavy rain is predicted.

Sumatra, Indonesia To Be Impacted By Tropical Cyclone

Kansas City, November 25 (World Weather Inc.) – The weekend torrential rain event that impacted southern Thailand with 10.00 to almost 34.00 inches of rain is now becoming a tropical cyclone and will drift over northern Sumatra today and Wednesday producing torrential rain. Flooding and strong wind gusts are likely to plague the northwestern part of Sumatra causing some damage to personal property and some agriculture.

Brazil Will Trend A Little Drier Than Usual This Week

Kansas City, November 25 (World Weather Inc.) – Planting continues across Brazil with progress near or slightly ahead of average. While timely rain has helped support relatively good establishment, many areas in west-central and northeastern Brazil are still in need of more rain to completely fix the long term moisture deficits. Some net drying is likely in both the northeast and interior southern parts of the nation through the weekend and then some beneficial rain is expected in the south. The mix of erratic rain and sunshine this week should prove sufficient enough to keep soil moisture near current levels, though many locations in center-west and northeastern Brazil will remain a little drier than usual. Establishment and early-season development conditions will be good outside the driest locations. Timely rain will be needed throughout December to ensure the best yields.
