Key U.S. Agricultural Areas To See Waves Of Rain Prevail

Kansas City, June 18 (World Weather Inc.) – Weather in the main agricultural areas east of the Rocky Mountains was active during the past week. Waves of rain and thunderstorms were noted and helped bolster soil moisture from portions of the southern Plains and Delta into the Midwest and U.S. southeast. Drought prevails in portions of the Plains, Delta, and southeastern states, though steady improvements were noted recently. Coarse grain, oilseed, cotton, and other crops generally benefitted from the rain despite ongoing drought for some. The active weather pattern will continue for most locations east of the Rocky Mountains for at least another week. Additional rain will further alleviate drought in several locations.
