West Texas Sees Excessive Wind, Low Humidity Sunday

Kansas City, March 25 (World Weather Inc.) – West Texas endured another bout of excessive wind, warm temperatures and very low humidity Sunday. The drying wind was expected and there was concern about the potential for more fires in the region. Agricultural areas lost some more soil moisture after getting a little rain last week. Some blowing dust and sand occurred, although it was not as serious at that of earlier this year after a lengthy period of dry weather. The event raised the need for more rain and yet the next ten days will be dry biased.

Western, Southern Europe To Receive Significant Rain

Kansas City, March 22 (World Weather Inc.) – A wet weather bias is in store for Western and portions of southern Europe during the next week to ten days. The frequent bouts of rain will gradually bolster soil moisture and may cause flash flooding in Italy, Spain, and along the Adriatic Sea. Early-season fieldwork may be sluggish in the wettest locations. However, prospects for both the winter crops and spring planting will either improve or remain favorable. Other locations in Europe will also see a mix of precipitation and sunshine during this time. Precipitation totals will be enough to keep soil moisture near current levels and prospects for the winter crops will remain favorable.
