Southern Argentina Rain Raises Concerns For Quality Declines

Kansas City, February 24 (World Weather Inc.) – Weekend rainfall, especially that which fell overnight last night was the most significant of the past week and it was very impressive in northwestern Buenos Aires where some local flooding was suspected. The event, though, was only the first of several waves of impressive rain that will impact central and southern parts of nation ending most of the concerns over dryness and replacing those concerns with too much moisture and a possible decline in sunseed quality while the harvest is delayed. Late season crops will largely benefit from the rain as long as it is not excessive for too long. In the meantime, northern Argentina is unlikely to see much rain for a while adding to moisture stress for crops in that region and eventually raising concern over production potentials in the driest fields.
