U.S. Drought Will Prevail For Main Agricultural Areas

Kansas City, October 10 (World Weather Inc.) – Drought or abnormally dry conditions were noted in a large section of the U.S. Midwest, southeastern states, Delta and pockets in the Great Plains in recent weeks, despite some recent rain. The lack of rain was beneficial for maturation an early-season summer crop harvesting. Precipitation will remain limited for at least another week in a large section of crop country and harvest conditions will remain relatively favorable. Hard red winter wheat planting in the central and southern Plains will also advance well with few disruptions through the end of next week. The need for timely rain will increase later this month to support ideal establishment.
