Center West, Northern Center South Brazil Still Waiting On Rain

Kansas City, October 13 (World Weather Inc.) – Rain since the third week of September has not been very great in Brazil’s center west or northern center south crop areas. Rain that fell in the third week of September stimulated some aggressive fieldwork, but there has not been much follow up moisture and the ground is dry and in need of moisture to simulate germination, emergence and establishment of the 2025-26 soybean and first season corn crop. Timely has fallen in southern parts of center south Brazil and most of far southern Brazil where spring planting is off to a great start with early season emergence and establishment going well, too. Rain must start falling soon to improve the moisture profile for crops in Mato Grosso, Goias and northern Mato Grosso do Sul where the need for rain is greatest. Some improvement in rainfall is still advertised, but it may not be very great until the weekend and especially next week.
