Argentina Planting Advancing After Recent Rainfall

Kansas City, November 19 (World Weather Inc.) – Additional rain fell across Argentina’s key grain and oilseed production areas Tuesday. The precipitation may have delayed fieldwork for a little while, though it helped to ensure good crop development over the next couple of weeks. Dryness remains in northern and western portions of Cordoba and Santiago del Estero where additional precipitation is needed. Precipitation will be lighter and more erratically distributed during the coming week compared to the most recent seven-day period. The lack of significant follow-up rain will allow for more aggressive planting and general fieldwork. Most locations outside the driest areas in Cordoba and Santiago del Estero will still receive enough rain and have enough moisture to support favorable establishment an early-season growth.
