Argentina Rain Welcome For Aggressive Establishment, Growth

Kansas City, December 2 (World Weather Inc.) – The main production areas in Argentina received welcome rainfall during the past week. Rainfall was enough to bolster or keep soil moisture at favorable levels for aggressive establishment and early-season growth. Corn and soybean planting remains a little behind last year’s pace; though, producers will likely try to plant a significant amount of crop in the coming days due to recent rainfall. Precipitation will vary across the nation during the coming week. The main production areas will receive limited rainfall through early this weekend and temperatures will rise above normal, which will lead to aggressive planting and fieldwork while quickly drying the topsoil. Some follow up precipitation will be needed next week to maintain the best crop and field conditions.

Weekly Citrus Weather For Tuesday, December 2, 2025

Kansas City, December 2 (World Weather Inc.) – Florida’s citrus areas received erratic rainfall at times during the past week. Spotty rain will occur at times during the coming week as well, though not enough to significantly impact harvesting and general farming activity. Brazil’s citrus areas were mostly dry during the past week. Rain potentials will increase during the coming week and should maintain good development conditions for the short-term. However, much more rain will be needed for ideal long-term production potentials. Veracruz and immediate neighboring areas in Mexico received significant rainfall during the past week. Harvest delays were a concern in the wettest locations. Mexico’s citrus areas will see periods of erratic rainfall during the coming week that may again impact harvest conditions.

Southeast U.S. To Get More Drought Relief This Week

Kansas City, December 2 (World Weather Inc.) – Drought has intensified in the southeastern United States during the autumn season this year. Portions of peanut, cotton, corn and soybean country in Georgia, southern Alabama and northern Florida have been in a drought of varying degrees of significance in recent weeks. Severe to exceptional drought was declared by NOAA’s Drought Monitor last week. Rain fell Monday into this morning across a part of the dry region offering some temporary relief; however, much more rain is needed to end drought conditions. A second wave of rain is predicted for the region Friday into the weekend that should have a greater impact on easing dryness.
