Argentina To Receive Additional Rain As Planting Continues

Kansas City, December 16 (World Weather Inc.) – Argentina’s main production areas saw a good mix of rain and sunshine during the past week. The rainfall helped maintain relatively good establishment and early-season development conditions, though La Pampa and neighboring areas are starting to dry down a little too much. Planting advanced relatively well around the periods of rain. Alternating periods of rain and sunshine will persist during the coming week. Establishment and development conditions will remain favorable outside the driest areas in La Pampa and west-central and southwestern Buenos Aires. Producers will continue to plant around the periods of rain.

Weekly Citrus Weather For Tuesday, December 16, 2025

Kansas City, December 16 (World Weather Inc.) – Florida’s citrus areas received little or no rain during the past week. Rainfall will remain limited during the coming week as well. Harvesting and general farming activity will advance with few disruptions. Any citrus that is still developing will rely on irrigation. In Brazil, bouts of heavy rain were noted in Sao Paulo during the past week. Citrus impacts were likely minimal and the rain will actually help improve long-term production potentials. Mexico’s citrus areas will have a few opportunities for rain during the coming week. Minor harvest delays will be possible in the wettest areas of eastern Mexico.

Central Brazil Crop Areas Get A Soaking; Northeast Needs Rain

Kansas City, December 15 (World Weather Inc.) – Central crop areas of Brazil experienced the single greatest week of rain this season. Generalized rain fell from central Paraguay through southern and central Mato Grosso do Sul and northern and western Parana to southern Minas Gerais; including all of Sao Paulo. The rain event saturated the ground and may have induced some local flooding. In the meantime, rain in Bahia, Piaui and Maranhao was much more limited leading to some areas of net drying. Much of Mato Grosso received rain as well, although amounts were a little light and more would be welcome in the drier pocketed areas. A decline in rainfall is expected during the latter part of this week into next week, although daily showers and thunderstorms will continue. The drier bias will be welcome in central areas after recent heavy rain; though the northeast may continue to have a growing need for more significant rain.
