Brazil Rain Will Maintain Good Soybean, Corn Conditions

Kansas City, January 5 (World Weather Inc.) – Waves of rain were noted across Brazil’s main production areas during the past week. Only portions of southern and eastern Rio Grande do Sul, northeastern Minas Gerais, and southeastern Bahia went without rain. The precipitation maintained relatively good establishment and development in most locations. Planting is ongoing with much of the soybeans already in the ground. Brazil will again see a good mix of rain and sunshine for at least the next seven days. Rainfall will be enough to maintain a good environment for most crops that are developing. Planting and general fieldwork will advance swiftly around the rain as well.

Kansas City, January 5 (World Weather Inc.) – Expanding dryness in southern Argentina this past week added stress to recently planted and short rooted crops in central and southern parts of the nation. Weather changes this week will bring rain to central and northern parts of the nation, but there is not much support for relief in Buenos Aires or La Pampa and crop conditions are likely to deteriorate further.
