India’s Monsoon Rain Deficit May Be Misleading

Kansas City, October 1 (World Weather Inc.) – India’s monsoon underperformed this year, according to the Indian Meteorological Department. The year will go into the history books as being the first “drought” year since 2015, which just so happens to be the last strong El Nino year. However, these statistics are misleading and World Weather, Inc. advices some caution when speculating over India’s smaller crops. A more in-depth look at the distribution of rain this year reveals less of a crisis for the current crop, but raises a little more concern about future crops.
