Full Blown La Nina Event Still Unlikely, World Weather Inc. Says

Kansas City, November 25 (World Weather Inc.) – The latest data from the eastern equatorial Pacific Ocean continues to show very little reason to expect a full blown La Nina in the next few months. This has been the trend for many months now, despite NOAA’s CFSv2 ENSO model constantly predicting La Nina. There is just not much evidence supporting a significant La Nina event. World Weather, Inc. stands by its prediction of last summer doubting such an event. Neutral ENSO conditions are more likely to prevail in the next few months with a slight La Nina bias, but that will not allow “traditional” La Nina weather anomalies to evolve – at least not in all areas of the world.

Brazil Weather To Stay Quite Favorable

Kansas City, November 25 (World Weather Inc.) – Nearly ideal weather since late October has fieldwork and crop development in Brazil advancing quite favorably and the trend will continue, despite some recent drying in the interior south. The benefit does not stop at grain and oilseed production areas, but reaches into coffee, citrus, sugarcane and rice production areas as well. More of the same is expected over the next two weeks with timely rain anticipated for all production areas.

Central Argentina Dryness Eased Overnight

Kansas City, November 25 (World Weather Inc.) – A significant rain event occurred overnight from Cordoba to Entre Rios and immediate neighboring areas fixing poor soil in just hours. The change will greatly improve summer crop planting, emergence and establishment conditions, although winter crop maturation and harvesting was and will be slowed for a while. Additional rain is expected in nearly all of Argentina during the balance of this week and that should perpetuate a very good outlook for summer crop development and fieldwork with good yield potentials remaining in southern wheat areas of the nation. Drier weather will be needed to promote fieldwork and that should come next week.
