India Rain To Maintain Slow Harvest Pace, Raise Quality Issues

Kansas City, October 1 (World Weather Inc.) – Waves of rain were noted in portions of western, central, and eastern India during the past week. The ground was likely too wet for favorable maturation and early-season harvesting. Quality declines or crop damage was suspected in areas that received the greatest amount of rain. The wet weather pattern will prevail for a large section of India outside portions of the southern states through the middle of next week resulting in more concern over crop conditions and additional delays in crop maturation and harvest progress. Tropical Cyclone One will promote rounds of significant rain in eastern and central India through the end of the weekend that will keep the ground saturated and raise flood potentials.
