South Africa To See Additional Rain Over Coming Week

Kansas City, October 31 (World Weather Inc.) – Rain increased over portions of Free State and North West during the past week raising soil moisture in some South Africa locations. The moisture increase should have improved planting conditions for summer coarse grain, oilseed and cotton planting. Much more rain was needed to restore soil moisture to ideal levels especially in other summer crop production areas in the nation. Some of that additional moisture is forth coming.

U.S. Winter 2025-26: Stormy, Cold East

Kansas City, October 31 (World Weather Inc.) – November weather is expected to return below-normal precipitation to most of the Midwest, Great Plains and southwestern states. Temperatures should be cooler than usual in the eastern United States and warm in the northwest half of the nation. Winter 2025-26 is expected to perpetuate some of these anomalies with a part of the Rocky Mountain region warmer than usual while the eastern United States is cooler and wetter biased. The winter may have multiple nor’easter type storm systems that evolve along the middle and lower Atlantic Coast and move northward into New England. The stormy weather in the east will lead to greater snow depths in some areas and that may help reinforce a cooler-biased winter that may raise supplement heating fuel demand and induce some frequent travel issues.
