Brazil Planting Will Advance Around Waves Of Rain This Week

Kansas City, November 10 (World Weather Inc.) – Rain was often scattered across the main production areas in Brazil during the past week. The moisture profile continued to slowly improve in the main soybean, first-season corn, and other crop production areas; however, several locations in center-west and northeastern Brazil need additional precipitation to completely fix long-term moisture deficits. Waves of rain are likely for southern, center-west, and portions of center-south Brazil this week. Many of these areas will have enough moisture to support relatively favorable establishment and early-season growth. Some of the rain will offer improvement to low soil moisture and poorly established crops while other areas experience continued favorable crop development. Additional moisture will be needed in the drier areas. Meanwhile, northeastern Brazil will trend a little drier than usual and would benefit from increased rainfall.
